Personal Coaching
If life coaching takes 30 minutes every two weeks, it should...
make the other 20,130 minutes easier.
Those 30 minutes on video aren’t the point. They’re leverage.
We begin with the real problem
Clients (myself included!) often come in convinced we know what we need to do – and we just can’t seem to follow through.
Maybe that’s true.
Maybe it isn’t.
We’ll investigate what’s actually happening before deciding what to change.
Sometimes you don’t need a transformation. You need a decision, a practical solution, a capability, or a more sustainable way of living with what cannot currently be changed.
The method follows the problem, not the other way around.
01 — Understand
We clarify what is happening, what you have already tried, and what changes when stress rises or capacity falls.
You do not have to make your situation sound tidy or impressive.
We can begin with the version that is actually true.
02 — Choose
We identify the kind of response the situation actually calls for.
That might be a routine, decision, boundary, conversation, skill, experiment, or a different way of relating to what cannot be changed.
The response should fit your actual life, not an idealized version of it.
03 — Adjust
Between sessions, you try a small number of actions, observations, conversations, or experiments.
We review what happened, strengthen what worked, and revise what did not.
A failed experiment is information, not a moral failure.

What to expect
Coaching takes place through private, one-to-one video sessions.
Working by video allows you to join from a private space without adding travel to an already full life.
Coaching begins with a defined engagement so we have enough time to understand the problem, test meaningful responses, and evaluate what genuinely helps.

Is coaching the right fit?
Coaching may be a good fit if you:
- want help understanding and responding to a real-life problem
- are willing to reflect honestly and test practical changes
- want both thoughtful conversation and action outside the session
- value an approach adapted to your circumstances
- can make your own decisions and take responsibility for them
- welcome challenge without shame or simplistic motivation
- crisis support
- diagnosis or clinical treatment
- trauma treatment or stabilization
- medical, legal, or financial advice
- someone else making decisions for you
- a guaranteed result
Coaching focuses on present-day goals, decisions, behavior, implementation, and responses to real-life situations.
It does not replace psychotherapy, medical care, or another licensed professional service.
Coaching and massage are separate services. Video coaching does not include physical assessment, massage treatment, psychotherapy, or healthcare.

Frequently asked questions
No.
You may arrive with a specific goal, a decision, a recurring problem, a tangled situation, or simply the sense that something is not working.
Clarifying what kind of help would be useful may be part of the work.
No.
Coaching may include discussion of emotions, relationships, habits, internal conflict, and patterns of response. It does not diagnose or treat mental illness.
When another kind of professional support appears more appropriate, I will say so.
Not primarily.
Practical systems may be part of the work when they address the actual problem and support the life you want to live.
Productivity is not helpful when it merely makes you more efficient at sustaining an unworkable life.
We usually identify a small number of actions, observations, conversations, or experiments.
The purpose is to learn what happens under real conditions, not to create another overwhelming assignment list.
A single conversation may produce clarity, but meaningful problems usually require enough time to test and adjust what works.
A defined engagement allows for real application without assuming an indefinite coaching relationship.
We review what changed, what did not, what you now understand differently, and what appears worth continuing.
You may choose another coaching period, continue independently, or pursue another form of support.
The goal is useful progress, not permanent dependence.
